Want to find out if your product or website has usability problems and what you can do about them? An application assessment answers these questions by providing an evaluation of your software application, prototype or interface design specification. It identifies potential problems, offers recommendations for improvement, and suggests usability activities which would help achieve the usability goals of your application. Research studies in the field of Computer-Human Interaction (CHI) have shown that these types of evaluations by usability professionals can predict a large percentage of usability problems. When budget constraints preclude usability testing, or other usability activities, an application assessment is a cost-effective alternative.
To complete this activity, Client provides:
A written report will be delivered which documents, at a high-level, the findings, problems, and recommendations. A presentation will be delivered which reviews the assessment results and report, and allows for questions to be answered or more detail explanations or examples to be provided.
Ranges from 2 to 10 days depending on various factors such as complexity and size of the application, amount of documentation or information readily available, and the level of detail the client wishes for the review and resulting report.
